Deputy Defense Secretary Rudy de Leon told members of the President's National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) that there are nations turning increasingly to unconventional fields such as cyber space to wage attacks on the United States. "As long as we have a strong and significant military capability, as we have today," said de Leon, "adversaries know that they won’t be able to take us on in the air, on the ground, or on the sea and so they will look for vulnerabilities.
