Benham E. Morriss, Jr., Former NCS Deputy Manager, Dies

Arlington, VA., August 20, 2002 - Benham E. Morris, Jr., Deputy Manager of the National Communications System (NCS) from 1984 to 1994, died August 2 in Fort Myers, Florida.

Mr. Morris served five different NCS Managers in his NCS tenure as the Deputy Manager before leaving the NCS in 1994.

A memorial service for Mr. Morriss will be held Saturday, August 24, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, 2466 Longview Drive in Woodbridge, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the Morriss family requests that donations be made in his name to one of the following:

Mr. Morriss is the second former NCS Deputy Manager to pass away this summer. Joseph Rose, the NCS Deputy Manager from 1973 to 1981, died in Florida in July.
