President Intends to Appoint Logicon’s Anderson to NSTAC

Herbert W. AndersonWashington D.C., July 16, 2001 - President Bush announced on July 9, 2001, that he intends to appoint Herbert W. Anderson, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Logicon to the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC). Logicon is a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman.

The President's NSTAC is composed of up to 30 Presidentially appointed industry leaders (usually chief executive officers). In its advisory role to the President, the NSTAC provides industry-based analyses and recommendations on a wide range of policy and technical issues related to telecommunications, information assurance, infrastructure protection, and other national security and emergency preparedness concerns.

Mr. Anderson's overall responsibilities include planning, organizing, controlling, and leading the operations of all Logicon business units. In addition to being responsible for integrating and executing Logicon's long range strategic plan, Mr. Anderson is responsible for ensuring that the business units continue to meet all specific goals and objectives.

Mr. Anderson joined Northrop Grumman in 1984 as Vice President, Information Resource Management, of the company's former B-2 Division in Pico Rivera, California. In 1990, he was named Corporate Vice President and Center Manager of the newly established Northrop Information Services Center.

A former member of the Defense Science Board and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Mr. Anderson is currently on the Board of Directors of the Professional Services Council and a United Service Organization board member.
