In August 2012, the National Communications System (NCS) was retired and its
functions were transferred to the Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) within
the Office of Cybersecurity and Communications. Former NCS prorgrams, including Government Emergency
Telecommunications Service, Wireless Priority Service, Telecommunications Service Priority, and SHared RESources High
Frequency Radio Program, remain active under OEC. The NCS website is in the process of being shut down effective April 1, 2013.
Content and program information will be moved to the DHS website. National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee documents
will also be available on the DHS website. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to partnering with your organization.
